Starting to feel a little cold in SoCal.

A snowy landscape I made in class. Sorry Christian for getting to class so late! I'll make it up to you with good artwork! :)

Project 3 Concept Doodles

Just some doodles from my sketchbook that might be worked on in the next project. Man, I never thought Tina's Animal and Wildlife Drawing class would impact what I drew outside of class too. A lot of pages in my sketchbook are animals!!

A gorilla wearing a BAPE shirt, but with the B crossed out because he's an APE. HAHA I thought it was funny!
A Rabbit and Bear hybrid.

Was doing a critic/WIP in my animation production class, and was watching a classmate's animation and thought of ways to plus her characters and draw them out MY WAY.

Project 2 : Surveillance

The final result of all the WIP I have been posting. Really enjoying the pen tool and the vector-based look of Illustrator. Pretty happy with how most of this piece turned out, but there are still some parts I would like to go back and adjust. So far having a blast learning all this new software. Can't wait to see what I can do with Photoshop next!!

Project 2: Surveillance - Greyscale Value Studies

Some Value studies for Project two

The line art for my project. Photoshop's pen tool has a different feel from Illustrator's, and looks like I still need some work on it. Or maybe I'm just tired haha.

I really liked this study where the monsters look like shadows, give them a more sinister look. However, it makes them into silhouettes, and they lose their fun designs so I'll probably scrap this one.

Tried changing the light source here where the lighting of the room is lighter while the main figure is darkened to bring him out.

This one feels the most successful, I'll probably lighten the boy's skin tone to pop him out more from the background.

Odd Settings

A hidden village
In outer space on a solid planet
A ghost ship in the middle of the ocean
In an empty stomach
On an island where everything is made out of food
In a monster's bedroom
Inside our minds
On a moon made out of cheese
In an ice palace
In a haunted hotel room
In a dirty bathroom while you're at microscopic sizes
